To start- food came out great... eventually. The hibachi guy was either stoned, on pain pills or drunk... or a combo of the above. He stumbled through service and luckily didn't try to flip food into anyone's mouths, or anything like that. Definitely went to 'salt' food but not sure any made it on the grill... his shoes will definitely be filled with salt tonight. Cooked all the rice/noodles and veggies and plated them all before even starting the meat/fish. Like I said, it all came out tasting fine, but was awkward. Food was yummy though, we were on a date night so not in a hurry luckily.

I am not one to write a review of a restaurant that possibly had an off night, but here I go. My fiancé and I went here a few months ago. It was an expensive dinner that we both left saying we won't be back.
We arrived and got beverages and ordered two specialty sushi rolls as an appetizer. The part when it started to go down hill had to do with the people at our table and the chef.
First of all the group that sat next to us two of the people were gluten free. I get it, there are food allergies out there, but their allergies effected our night. Oh and they also requested a special chef so we waited extra long. That is fine if they want to do that if they are the only group at the table but they weren't.
Long story short. The chef was not up to par to manage gluten free cooking and regular cooking. We ordered Lobster, scallops and filet. All over cooked. He had to make separate sets for rice and use separate sauces etc. it was all bad and over cooked. Worst tasting hibachi I've had.
I think the restaurant should let people with allergies sit separately or have their food cooked in back so they don't effect others or have a chef that is very trained on split cooking and cooking with allergies. That's a management thing.
And customers with allergies at a high gluten meal like hibachi should be respectful of the other people at the table.
Don't let other customers allergies effect my meal! Figure it out Mt. Fuji. -

Took my family of 5 here today. We have been going here off and on for over 10 years now. Have to say that I along with the family were extremely disappointed. Today. We are the only ones here for Habachi and the service was awful to say the least. Took forever to just get the salad and soup. The people working there would just look over and looked like they all just woke up out of bed.
Waitress forgot to bring out my wife's appetizer, and when we asked her 25 minutes later all she said was sorry. My wife being vegetarian ordered the vegetable tempura as the appetizer but again this was never brought out. By this time, they had started our main course which took about 39 minutes extra for them to even start. We all were just looking at each other in disbelief.
On top of this, the chef doing the hibachi took a squirt bottle full of red sprite and started to squirt it in my 6 year old daughters mouth!! She got scared and all the sprite ran down her new shirt. This caused her to start crying. I was so upset but tried to contain myself as this was supposed to be a special day with my kids.
To be very honest the filet mignon was good but the lobster tasted like plastic. Then my poor wife after not receiving her appetizer was left sitting there because he did the vegetables and noodles last.
We then told the waitress that my 6 year old wanted some ice cream. You think she would have thrown that in for free maybe after forgetting the appetizer??? Nope still charged for this.
So after paying $186.00 for lunch meal which I have no problem with, all I can say is that we will never go back. The whole presence of the staff was awful. Not friendly and we sat there forever. We actually wanted to walk out but since there is no other place close by we decided to stay just sitting there being agitated really.
When I left, I asked who the owner was and was told that they never come in. I asked for the manager and he just looked at me. Really unbelievable!! We will never go back here again. I think ownership has changed and wow this place has really gone down hill. Bottom line is service was terrible, food was terrible except for filet mignon was good, and my six year old gets sprite all over her new shirt after they squirt it in her mouth making her scared. Like who does that? Not to a 6 year old girl. I'm still upset and will make sure I tell every one about how terrible this place is. Castle Rock is still small enough guys for word to get around. An apology would be nice but looks like the owners could care less as the manager did not cate to even talk. Please go somewhere else!! -

What a fantastic experience!
Took my wife, MIL, and aunt for dinner. New experience for all of us. What an amazing, delicious and fun dinner!
If you have the chance, request Jeff, the Texan ginger hibachi chef. Phenomenal and entertaining! And the volcano bowl... delicious.
We tried the sushi, crab wontons and various hibachi meals. EVERYTHING was excellent!
My only suggestion (and why they get 4 instead of 5 stars) would be that they actually pay attention to what's on TV. It was playing Infomercials, and they were unappealing at best, while we were there. Trade your tv in for better ambiance music, you're a nice restaurant.
But yes, we will be back, and we'll request Jeff if we can! -

Form someone that's actually Climbed Mt Fuji, Castle Rock is a long ways a way. However, let me say this, it's not a bad little Hibachi Grill. The food is pretty good. You get the flipping spatulas, the "egg roll" the Volcano, the Little peeing boy putting out the fire, and the train, so it's pretty standard hibachi.
